JP is the founder and has been part of the evolving TAG Group since 1997. He has managed multiple businesses in the manufacturing, construction, hospitality and the entertainment sector. Apart from overseeing the group operations, he spends time forging new sustainable relationships and managing growth and diversification within the group.

Outside work, JP is involved in business mentoring and loves to travel and meet new people from all over the world.

Nomita has been involved with the TAG group since its inception in various roles. She manages the residential property portfolio, is the in-house colour, aesthetics & design coordinator. She also heads the Social Responsibility portfolio, something that is very close to her heart.

​

Outside work, Nomita enjoys music, travel, involvement in animal welfare, Spirituality, Qi Gong, Pilates & Yoga.

Tanveer combines his formally acquired skills with his business acumen and has proven to be both commercially astute and sets ambitious future plans for TAG. The group has experienced rapid growth in the last few years and Tanveer’s role has been invaluable in acquisition, strategic leasing and liaising with funders & quantity surveyors.

Outside of work, Tanveer loves cars, travel, the gym and golf.

Smeet joined the TAG group in 2013 after a stint with Air New Zealand. Having come from a service-based industry it was a paradigm shift for Smeet to work on building sites and embrace the new environment in the inceptionary phase. Smeet displayed great patience and perseverance and quickly learned the vital attributes to successfully managing projects often with great diversity and varied challenges. Smeet has successfully managed many heritage restoration projects, apartments, commercial and residential builds and continues to lead new projects and ensure their effective and timely completion.

Outside work, Smeet helps with the family hospitality business, loves to travel and socialise with friends.

Ekta initially undertook a complete review of the group’s accounting systems and implemented sound procedures and policies in place before heading the group’s commercial position. Ekta is very business focused with a very clear understanding in finance and has established successful relationships with external stakeholders.

Ekta has two young children, loves to cook, sing, travel and meet friends in her spare time.

Tushar oversees the IT and administration within the group. Born with a natural flair for humour and grit, nothing is too hard for Tushar. His role sees him coordinate with practically every member in the team and he is well liked and respected by everyone. His ambition and appetite to take on new challenges is an invaluable asset for the group.

Tushar has two young children and enjoys exploring remote areas with friends and families.

Jyoti has a sound accounting background having worked for a well-established Chartered Accountancy practice. She manages the accounts for various entities within the group and liaises with external entities and accountants. Jyoti is a conscientious worker and is able to manage her work independently in a timely and effective manner.

Jyoti has two young children and loves to cook in her spare time.

Prior to joining the TAG Group in 2020, Gurpreet worked in our childcare and hospitality operations. She is a very quick learner, has a keen eye for detail and runs with a ‘can do’ attitude. She maintains a close liaison with our tenant base and effectively manages the property portfolio across New Zealand. She is also currently pursuing a 3-year graduate programme in Early Childhood Teaching.

Outside work and study, Gauri is bringing up a young family and loves road trips in her spare time.

Gobika oversees the Group’s accounts and administration functions, ensuring smooth financial operations and accurate record-keeping. She works closely with team members and contributes to a positive, well-organised working environment.

Outside of work, she enjoys baking with her toddler son and often creates delicious treats for family and friends.

Sunil has over 16 years of international experience in planning and operating hospitality businesses. Sunil also specialises in public relations and consistently exceeds customer and client expectations.

​

In his spare time, Sunil enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, and playing sports.

Mayurdhwaj (MD) joined the construction and engineering sector with a strong academic foundation and hands-on project experience gained through his Master’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Canterbury. In addition to his technical expertise, he has developed strong operational and people-management skills through experience in service-based environments. His background in supervising and managing services has strengthened his ability to follow instructions precisely, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and perform effectively in fast-paced settings.
 

Outside of work, Mayurdhwaj enjoys playing badminton, exploring new cuisines, and travelling to lesser-known destinations. He has a keen appreciation for nature and its diverse habitats.
